Diary of my road trip to Gay Day Disney
June 1 to June 3, 2005
Sorry folks! For the past two days while we were in South Beach, I had not have the opportunity to go online due to the all day activities that Gary and I engaged in.Â
It rained the all day on Wednesday from the time we left Palm Harbour to the time we reached South Beach in Miami.  Despite the rain, Gary and I took a long walk along the shore of South Beach to burn off some calories. The weather was only around 75 F. Along the walk I managed to lose Gary’s Sidekick II phone in the Atlantic Ocean.  Luckily, with T-Mobile, we only had to buy a sim card and used one of our back up phone. You see, Paris Hilton is not the only person to have a Sidekick story.
We then drove on I 95 from Miami to Margate to visit my aunt, uncle and cousin, Victor. We also visited them on Thursday. This time we all went to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino, an entertainment complex that is bigger than the Las Vegas Hard Rock Casino.
Overall, our time in South Beach was beautiful despite the rain. The ocean was not as clear due to the storm, but it was still beautiful. We also did our usual walk on Ocean Drive and took some pictures of me and the Versace’s house. The Lincoln Road shopping area is nice and long and Gary and I purchased two new pair of gym shoes for our daily walking while we are on the road.

We just arrived in Orlando this afternoon and checked into the Sheraton Safari which cost us only $59 a night due to Priceline.com. Right now we are resting our belly after an all you can eat lobster buffet at Boston Lobster Feast restaurant. At 8 PM we will go to Typhoon Lagoon for the annual Beach Ball party there. I will post more pictures tomorrow.
UPDATE – It is now 2:30 AM and we just got back from the Beach Ball 9 Party. It was great. There were so many people that those that came after 9:00 PM had to park at Downtown Disney and either walk or take a shuttle over to the water park. The wave pool was cranked up way high, the water slide rides were fun and the music this year was much much better. It was raining all day today and yet the rain stopped right around 7:00 PM just in time for the festivity.
